Best day ever!

24 May 2008

Yesterday was the best day yet for visitors to this blog, so I thought it might be worth recording what they were looking at.

Popular posts on Khanya blog

There is, of course a list of top posts in the sidebar, but that changes every day, and Amatomu provides some rather pretty statistics.

This time most of the popular posts for the last 24 hours are quite recent ones, but if one looks at the figures for the month, there are some older ones that seem to be perennially popular, I’m not sure why.

    Hi Steve
If you put sitemeter on your blog it will show you what page referred the visitor to your blog. So if it was a google search it will show that and also what they searched for. That helps to see what is drawing people!

    Jenny,

Actually WordPress does all that — it just doesn’t produce such pretty graphs as Amatomu!

One of my popular posts is “Stuff to do on Sunday when you’re bored”, and i wrote it tongue in cheek because another blogger (whose blog is unfortunately now closed) wrote that a lot of people found her blog by using that as a search argument, and she also got a lot of visitors who were looking for “Eileen nude”. Most of the Eileens I know I really wouldn’t like to see nude. Like the joke of the two old toppies in an old age home when one of their fellow inmates decided to be a streaker, and charged through the lounge. And one said to the other, “What was that?” and the other replied, “I don’t know, but whatever it was it needed ironing.”
