TGIF: ten years old today
We went to TGIF today, and they were celebrating their 10th anniversary in Tshwane, complete with birthday cake.
This is what they said about it.
Pretoria/Tshwane’s TGIF turns 10 years old this week. On 10 March 2006, the late Dr Louw Alberts addressed the inaugural meeting at the Brooklyn Mall Seattle. Since then it underwent the occasional venue change and has been known as Brooklyn TGIF, Menlyn TGIF, and now Hatfield TGIF. This Friday’s event will be the 407th. Even so, this is the youngest of Gauteng’s three TGIFs.
Today we heard Grant Thistlewhite talking about religion and culture.
TGIF happens most Fridays at the OM Link Building, 1211 South Street, HATFIELD. Fri 11 March, 6:15am for 6:30am, ending 7:30am. Free entrance, all welcome.
